From sleek, user-friendly platforms with snappy videos succinctly outlining their offerings, to the labyrinthine sites that leave you scrolling endlessly – the digital landscape varies widely. Did you know that around 70% of candidates consider a company’s website design and usability as factors influencing their job application decisions?
🎥 Videos: Clear and Concise: Some companies have embraced the power of short, engaging videos. These snippets quickly shed light on their products and why they’re worth exploring. A personal favourite is when organisations introduce their hiring team through bite-sized videos. Around 85% of candidates find videos helpful in understanding a company’s culture and job roles.
🌍 Remote Conundrum: Remote work has become a buzzword, offering flexibility and access to a global talent pool. However, the fine print can be tricky – some roles are advertised as remote but only for specific countries. Especially in senior roles, there’s a surprising lack of international opportunities. Despite the very nature of our work in developer relations being global, remote senior positions often remain elusive outside the US.
